Therapy and Counseling Services
You say To-may-to, I say To-mah-to
Therapy and Counseling are names of the same service that are often used interchangeably. Both services are delivered by mental health professionals with at least a Master's Degree and appropriate licensing. Availability varies from office to office.
Individual Counseling for children is provided in our offices as well as other sites in the community. We do offer therapy services in a variety of elementary, middle, and high schools. Please call the office nearest you for availability and scheduling.
Group Therapy for children is available in a few offices. Please call the office nearest you for availability and scheduling.
HCT (Home Community Treatment) is an in-home service that offers a combination of case management and therapy services to individuals and families provided by bachelor and master's level staff who work closely with the family as a team.
All of our Children's Therapy services utilize the Client Directed, Outcome Informed (CDOI) approach.
CDOI is a recovery model that is based on research on the factors that make mental health treatment successful. This approach privileges the client’s voice in treatment to the maximum extent possible, while adhering to professional and ethical standards of practice, and celebrates clients’ strengths and heroic qualities. Uniquely, the approach incorporates regular measurement of client progress as well as attention to the client’s perception of the treatment process, using simple tools that can be administered in under a minute.
